As NSBE chapters, much of our effort must be placed on flourishing the engineering pipeline.

With this pipeline, we will share our skills, knowledge, talent, and resources with the community, and with each other.

Please join us at our 2015 NSBE DMV PCI Summit.

The goal of the PCI Summit is to come together with NSBE PCI leaders in the DMV area and strategically determine how we can collaborate, provide resources (financial & people), outreach, and grow the STEM/Engineering pipeline.  The objectives are to:

  • Better strategize in how NSBE Professionals and Collegiate can help NSBE Jr. chapters with preparing for competitions, programs, and activities;
  • Collaborate and pull resources together to support NSBE and STEM outreach to K-12 students in the DMV;
  • Develop long-term (5-year) strategies for resource planning for NSBE Jr. support in the DMV; and
  • Initiate dialogue and shared communication approaches.

Please register accordingly. A follow-up email will be sent to you with the specific agenda.  We may ask that you come prepared to discuss your chapter’s program focus and needs.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to seeing you!

Monique Mirabeau & Yvette Selby,

NSBE DC PCI Committee

Proposed Agenda:

  • Brief presentation of major program focus - each representative gives their own update.
  • Resources - both financial and people support - where can we work together.
  • Shared communication strategies - how we can keep each other in the loop; not working in SILOS.
  • Outreach strategies - how do we get more people involved.
  • Calendar of Major Events - develop a shared calendar of events listed from all parties (some will overlap)
